This is where it gets good! One day you pick up the phone, and somebody on the other end is saying he got a letter from you about buying his house. “What’s this all about?” he asks.

Here’s the transcript (from memory) of a call I got in August 2013 from a guy named Mike E. from California. This is about as good as a call gets. I just want you to have the best-case scenario before we start digging into the not-so-great calls.

Me: Hello?

Mike: Hey, I got this letter in the mail from you and I wanted to know what it’s all about.
